Celebrate Goodness Post # 6

Seeing that rose for Mama Mary still so beautiful and so alive and so firm a day after you bought it.. Gives you hope that maybe it'll last the week. :)

the Land of the Remembered - they're up there!

Something wonderful happened before All Saints' day this year.. Auntie Yol had an idea about us girls making artificial flowers for our beloved departed: Auntie Lynette, Lolo Fermin, Lola Gracing and Lolo Felimon.. Majority of the work was done by auntie Yol and Karolyn.. They used crepe paper and some cloth-like specialty gift wrap. i thought i'd never quite see an All Saints' Day commemoration like the one in the movie Book of Life. And that made a difference from all those previous years.. :)

It's wonderful how even the people you haven't met in your life would care about you after this earthly life. :)

You are my "Only Hope"

Sing to me the songs of the stars..
Of Your galaxy dancing and laughing and laughing again..
When it feels like my dreams are so far..
Sing to me of the plans that You have for me over again..

Sometimes, i feel so distant to my targets in life - to my dreams.. i feel like i am losing myself in life.. Not that it's bad to lose oneself in life, but it's bad to lose oneself away from your purpose.. But there are really things that are out of my control.. That is why situations like these just need a remembrance of God's promises.. :)

i've actually longed to draw this a long long time ago.. i just didn't find the courage and the time to do it.. And in addition to that, i really haven't pictured/envisioned everything i needed to draw.. And i really can't believe i did it.  it's a miracle, you see.. :) Anyways, thanks to my sister's acrylic paint.. it's actually a first time too.. the last time i used acrylic was just for lettering.. my gosh.. but the painting is really a beginner's painting .. heheh..  But in fairness to this "trial"/"experiment", i am loving the texture it presents..

Ylvis is , oh my.. :)

To the wedding... ;)

i didn't know what to expect! i was just invited to be a bride's maid about a couple of months before, and after that i put my mind off the event until our family received the official invitation to the wedding. The couple were to be wed at the Assumption Church near my Alma Mater in high school - Davao City National High School. The reception was at the BS Inn hotel - which also served as our behind-the-scenes room before the wedding ceremony.

the beautiful and inspired bride
It was a real day off. It was a day deviant to all my regular days. IT was a day of reunion for my family in Davao and for all our distant relatives, esp. my grandma Linda's side. At first i was shy, but there is actually joy in making new friends. i was really pleased to get to know more my cousins, Shairah & Gienessa. We did selfies together and we really had fun chatting with each other, enjoying each other's company. Furthermore, i was really surprised to see my crush! Gosh! His look was still arresting, although he looked more mature now, more serious, more independent, wiser. Not that i'm saying he looked older.. He actually looked more handsome. Hehehehe!! And he really drowned the crowd - the way he moves and the way his eyes tell stories - he is really different from the rest.. Oh my... But you should know, he is already married, you know! No, it's not what you're thinking, it's not the groom i am talking about.. Heheh..

i love this pic! It summarizes everything about the wedding! How kuya Jesriel is behind and beside ate Cherry in their every step. How kuya Jesriel shows how much he loves her in always looking after ate Cherry's wedding gown train.. How ate Cherry looks so beautiful and so happy in one of the happiest moments in their life!

It was indeed a lovely and an inspiring wedding.. :) My favorite part was the couple's message for everyone and for each other while Juris' version of Forevermore was playing in the background.. They thanked everyone who supported them not only on their wedding day but every step of the way. They recognized each other's weaknesses and shortcomings but they are confident and are convinced that their love for each other is still greater than all the hindrances. i am so blessed to witness such a God-fearing couple respond to the call of marriage. :)

with our model, Shairah.. :)

It was a simple wedding, but it was really special to both kuya Kesriel & ate Cherry and to everyone who witnessed the exchange of vows and the sweet kisses... :)
May this be just the start of many wonderful days ahead together! May they be blessed with the unity of family and the richness of love and virtues. :)
Love is truly beautiful.

P.S. The children were so cute.... :)
