A play written by Paul Dumol
It was, first of all, a requirement for a subject -Mindanao literature.
"Ang Paglilitis ni Mang Serapio" is a story about how powerful beggars questioned Mang Serapio's guardianship of a child. In their federacion this act is illegal because their payment to the federacion would be divided because Mang Serapio's contribution would then be divided between the federacion and the child's needs. This play describes how people in the lowest of all classes distinguish among themselves who are powerful and who are not. It depicts the life of poor people on the streets and how they strive everyday fighting for their principles and how they seek to survive.
This play was assigned to our group to be performed. I've read the play. I realized that whoever will play the Unang Tagapagtanong should really master his/her lines because it is not Mang Serapio who would be talking most of the time but the Unang Tagapagtanong. I knew right then that it couldn't be me. Hahahahha! I could never be able to memorize such long lines.
That is why I was really shocked when it was either Quenny (my groupmate) or me who would be playing the role of Unang Tagapatanong. Alas! I was defeated in the game of Jack en' Poy. Therefore, the most challenging role in the play (perhaps) was given to me.
Quenny and I started running our lines together. She got the role of the Ikalawang Tagapagtanong, kind a like my assistant.. I think.. I was really not good at it but I tried to feel the character i was about to play. I contemplated about my role and meditated about what kind of tagpagtanong am I going to convey to the audience that would give justice to the writer of the play.
We had practices as a team. My groupmates also had difficulty in the mastery of their lines. But I know we are all trying our best. In fact, many of my groupmates had fever during the days of our practices. But on the rehearsal night, the day before the presentation of the play, all of us were present. We were at least able to practice our roles as a team, polish our ways of acting, and plan for the event the next day. I saw our 12"x18" poster. It was marvelous. I could feel its drama.. credits to ate Krista and her friend. ;0

The day came. I was really moved by the trailer ate Krista made.. The true essence of the play is to know poor people as members of the society and not just members of the lower class. It is kind of sad to see them and actually do nothing for them. But I 'm just gonna do my best at this moment. Right now! The play is about to start. If I'm not gonna nail this thing, I'm not gonna give my groupmates what is supposed to be theirs, which is my full effort during the performance. I was nervous but I don't know why I felt confident. Weird! :))
The play ended. We received positive and negative feedbacks from the audience, but mostly positive! :D But the thought that they appreciated our act in front was enough.
LORD SALAMAT JUD KAAYO! OVER!
I don't now how i did it. It just proves the wonders of the Lord. I was really amazed with Him and how He transformed us all. :) Ate Ivy tried her best to pronounce the word "barung-barong" properly. Ate Joan, although she was feeling a bit sick, acted happily and with energy in the play. Ate Krista tried her best to make her voice loud and clear - knowing that she has quite a small voice. Marchelle also did her in playing her part. She was quite a shy girl for me. But she shared a part of herself to the team. I believe all of us really appreciated it. Everybody did their best.
I'm so thankful to Him for this memory.. am hoping I can save it for a lifetime! :)

"Bali-bali na ang aming pakpak.
Wala sa amin ang lakas upang liparin ang napakataas na pader na kongkreto.
Marahil ay ibinitin na nga ni Mang Serapio sa harap namin ang susi sa aming piitan,
ngunit napakahirap hiwain ang sarili’t ilantad sa pag-ibig.
Ang balon ay malalim,
at nasa kailaliman ang nasang lumipad at hanapin ang sinag ng araw,
ngunit ang gula-gulanit na diwa’y
mahinang wumawagayway lamang."

On this day of your life, Kristianne, we believe God wants you to know ... that peace will come when you let the presence of God settle into your hear
If there is to be peace in the world, there must be peace in the nations. If there is to be peace in the nations, there must be peace in the cities. If there is to be peace in the cities, there must be peace between neighbors. If there is to be peace between neighbors, there must be peace in the home. If there is to be peace in the home, there must be peace in the heart.

"...prayer is actually our greatest tool because it is the fundamental exercise of faith and hope. It’s a necessary process of abandoning the world and all the lies in it and connecting with God who leads us to what is true and real. It purifies our thoughts, feelings, motives, will and our entire being. It brings about peace that enables us to have a better perspective of things."

“Hi, I’m Eve,“ she said, gazing into his sleepy eyes.
“I’m Adam. You’re so different from me, all soft and curvy,” he replied, getting a nice warm feeling.
“And you’re hard and muscular! What’s this? I don’t have this.” She curiously touched him.
“That’s my Adam’s apple.”
“What? You ate them already?!”
This is a story that I wrote as an exercise for the Short Forms of Creative Writing course that I took years ago. Naughty, naughty you if you were beginning to think about something else. Actually that was the whole point of my story: to trigger a wrong notion.
And that is how sin starts — as an unbidden thought, in misjudging someone, doing little acts that, if unchecked, will lead you to commit a great offense. So be careful with that first thought; it’s the “first bite” into temptation. Watch where it leads you so you can guard against sin.

Lord, I dedicate this song to You
Day after day, I must face a world of strangers
Where I don’t belong, I’m not that strong
It’s nice to know that there’s someone I can turn to
Who will always care, You’re always there
When there’s no gettin’ over that rainbow
When my smallest of dreams won’t come true
I can take all the MADNESS the world has to give
But I won’t last a day without You
So many times when the city seems to be
Without a friendly face, a lonely place
It’s nice to know that You’ll be there if I need You
And You’ll always smile, it’s all worthwhile
When there’s no gettin’ over that rainbow
When my smallest of dreams won’t come true
I can take all the MADNESS the world has to give
But I won’t last a day without You
Touch me and I end up singing
Trouble seems to up and disappear
You touch me with the love You’re bringing
I can’t really lose when You’re near
When You’re near, my love
If all my friends have forgotten half their promises
Where I don’t belong, I’m not that strong
It’s nice to know that there’s someone I can turn to
Who will always care, You’re always there
When there’s no gettin’ over that rainbow
When my smallest of dreams won’t come true
I can take all the MADNESS the world has to give
But I won’t last a day without You
So many times when the city seems to be
Without a friendly face, a lonely place
It’s nice to know that You’ll be there if I need You
And You’ll always smile, it’s all worthwhile
When there’s no gettin’ over that rainbow
When my smallest of dreams won’t come true
I can take all the MADNESS the world has to give
But I won’t last a day without You
Touch me and I end up singing
Trouble seems to up and disappear
You touch me with the love You’re bringing
I can’t really lose when You’re near
When You’re near, my love
If all my friends have forgotten half their promises
They’re not unkind, just
hard to find
One look at You and I know
That I could learn to live without the rest
I’ve found the best
When there’s no gettin’ over that rainbow
When my smallest of dreams won’t come true
I can take all the MADNESS the world has to give
But I won’t last a day without You
hard to find
One look at You and I know
That I could learn to live without the rest
I’ve found the best
When there’s no gettin’ over that rainbow
When my smallest of dreams won’t come true
I can take all the MADNESS the world has to give
But I won’t last a day without You

Isaiah 58:7-10
7 Thus says the LORD: Share your bread with the hungry, sheltering the oppressed and the homeless; clothing the naked when you see them, and not turning your back on your own. 8 Then your light shall break forth like the dawn, and your wound shall quickly be healed; your vindication shall go before you, and the glory of the LORD shall be your rear guard. 9 Then you shall call, and the LORD will answer, you shall cry for help, and he will say, Here I am! If you remove from your midst oppression, false accusation and malicious speech; 10 if you bestow your bread on the hungry and satisfy the afflicted; then light shall rise for you in the darkness, and the gloom shall become for you like midday.

You Found Me by Fray
I found God on the corner of 1st and Amistad
Where the West was all but won
All alone, smoking his last cigarette
I said, "Where you been?" He said, "Ask anything"
Where were you when everything was falling apart?
All my days were spent by the telephone that never rang
And all I needed was a call that never came
To the corner of 1st and Amistad
Lost and insecure, you found me, you found me
Lying on the floor surrounded, surrounded
Why'd you have to wait? Where were you? Where were you?
Just a little late, you found me, you found me
But in the end everyone ends up alone
Losing her, the only one who's ever known
Who I am, who I'm not and who I wanna be
No way to know how long she will be next to me
Lost and insecure, you found me, you found me
Lying on the floor surrounded, surrounded
Why'd you have to wait? Where were you? Where were you?
Just a little late, you found me, you found me!
The early morning, the city breaks
And I've been calling for years and years and years and years
And you never left me no messages
You never sent me no letters
You got some kind of nerve taking all I want!
Lost and insecure, you found me, you found me
Lying on the floor, where were you? Where were you?
Lost and insecure, you found me, you found me
Lying on the floor surrounded, surrounded
Why'd you have to wait? Where were you? Where were you?
Just a little late, you found me, you found me!
Why'd you have to wait to find me, to find me?

Ang bait talaga ni Lord!! :))
I asked Him kung pwede sana.. hindi na masyado Niya palamigin ang weather.. these past few days kasi the temperature lowered... Thus, halos lahat ng tao nag-ja-jacket in going out.. even at home... So kung nalalamigan kaming mga may proper clothing, anong lamig pa kaya ang na-fe-feel ng mga bata sa kalye.. or yung mga walang msisilungan, matitirahan...
But the Lord is so good... Ngayon, the weather seems to become normal.. no more rainy days.. the sun began to shine.. ;)) Although it's not really that super hot, it gave us enough warmth.:)
I also would like to thank the Lord for giving our family a chance to bond with our close relatives.. because today is the 4th birth anniversary of my cousin, Keansley S. Tingcoy.. :)) May the blessings of the Lord be upon him! :))
God bless you! :))

Happiness is not found in good circumstances, rather it is in finding God in whatever circumstance you are in.. :))

The more that I love Him, more love He bestows.
Each day is like Heaven, my heart overflows.

As a group..
Yesterday, wonderful things happened!
First of all, before our PE class, I was the first person to submit the names of members in a group.. and the first to pass, would be the last to present... because later that morning we were to present our swing number... :)) Thanks be to God, we were the last to present.. ;)
Later during our practice, I was so happy because we were able to rehearse perfectly as a group. Wee! Although we didn't get a prefect score for the performance, I know the Lord knows how we did our best just to be able to present excellently... I hope the Lord will continue to guide our hands and feet as we dance like it's the last dance of our lives.. :))
And then, during our NSTP activity, I was very happy too because as a group, we were able to provide a new altar table for a chapel in Balaga, Talomo district, Davao City.. Oh, I hope people would love to help people in need too.. ;))
Life is beautiful! :)) Thank You, Lord! :))

Before I do my mission work, I must come before God my Father and bask in His love.
Before I teach people about God, I must first listen to Him and ask what He wants me to say about Him.
Before I proclaim peace and goodwill on earth, my life must first be filled with His peace.
Before I touch others with His love, I must allow Him to touch me.
Only by communing with my Father do I acquire the grace to do His work.
